Stevenage Football Club Academy is a purpose built training facility for all ages and all areas of the community. Anybody of any ability who wishes to play football or dance will be able to find an activity suitable for them.

The state of the art facility has 3 training pitches 40m x 23m and 1 coaching pitch 60m x 40m all laid with the latest Field Turf rubber crumb surface which looks and plays like real grass and is used by a number of top clubs in England and Abroad, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leeds United and Newcastle United for their training pitches.

An addition to the football pitches is the Stripes Dance and Aerobics studio which has a sprung wooden floor, air conditioning and a state of the art sound system. There are a variety of classes for both adults and children and all are available on a pay as you go basis. For more information click on the Stripes Tab

Players can either attend one of our many course or they can get together with some friends or workmates and hire a pitch for themselves. We also run organised leagues for Adults and Juniors so there really is something for everyone.

With the completion of the pavillion the total investment in the site will stand at 2.2million pounds and it is open to all sectors of the community, no private membership, no having to pay a guest fee just pay for the facilities that you use.

Please note that screw in studs and metal blades are not allowed on the pitches and outdoor shoes should not be worn in the studio

Plans for a future Centre of Excellence

Update 26th July 2010

Now that the squads have been selected for the new Centre of Excellence we will shortly be holding trials for entry into our development program. If selected you will train with us on a Friday evening while you continue to play for your local team. The coaching will be the same high standard as the Centre of Excellence Coaching and will follow the same syllabus. We will also hope to put in place a games program during the school holidays.

Summer Holiday Camps

Once again Stevenage Borough Football Academy will be running their popular Holiday Soccer Camps throughout the upcoming Summer Holidays. Our camps will kick off with a Taster Day on Friday 23rd July, 10am-3pm for just £5.00! To download a booking form for this special taster click here. Junior Kickers Course

Junior Kickers is an introduction to football for 3 and 4 year olds. We run all of our sessions at this age as a 10 week block, so the children get to see familiar faces each week and can build friendships as well as learning football through fun games. Adult League Vacancies

If you would like to enter a team in any of the leagues but are not quite sure how to go about it please contact the Academy. Why not play 8 a side on a Thursday. More like real football no overhead height rule so lots of flowing football and less stopages. The next 8 a side league will be starting soon so download you application form and get it back to us.

We are also looking for teams to start a new Sunday night 6 a side league. The first 8 teams who register will recieve a FREE SET OF SHIRTS and a FREE FOOTBALL to get you going and there will be no registration fees for the 1st season. Games are only £30 for a 40 minute game and all the administration will be taken care of. We will be looking to start in September so get your applications in asap. Work Experience

As you can imagine we receive a high number of applicants to obtain work experience with us. Due to this large number of applicants it has become our policy to only offer work experience placements to current members of our Youth Development Scheme.

Soccer Schools

There has never been a better time to get involved in our Soccer School sessions. The sessions are open to anyone of any ability to come along and learn some new skills, make new friends and have a game of football in a fun and friendly environment. Starting on Wednesday 25th Aug 2010 will be our next block for our popular Soccer School Membership with the price continuing at the reduced rate of just £35 for 10 weeks or £4.00 per session. Parents can sign up their children in a 10 week block and then they can attend both our midweek and weekend Soccer Schools.Our membership includes 10% off party bookings, and a Free under 12 SBFC season ticket.
