Community Scheme

We currently employ a full time School Liaison Officer who goes out to the local schools and offers football coaching on site. These sessions can take place either during the school timetable, at lunchtime or after school.  We work closely with the Stevenage Schools Partnership ensuring the quality and consistency of standards of Junior Football within the town, which is carried through to the football delivery at the Academy. We also work in partnership with Herts FA to deliver football on the School - Club Link and 3 Lions programmes. It is important to us that all football delivery follows the same template in order to deliver the quality needed to raise the standards. Also, we have qualified SAQ trainers at our disposal. They implement the importance of Speed, Agility and Quickness within all sports and teach good practice associated with movement and co ordination skills. We offer a comprehensive holiday coaching programme for 5 – 12 year olds with the emphasis being on fun, games and enjoyment.

The programme will depend on the Holiday, with the next holiday being the May 1/2 Term. The course will run for the whole week from 10am - 3pm and the week will include the popular NEW 'Warm Up' and 'Cool Down' section where parents for a small additional charge can drop off their children at 9am and collect them again at 4pm.  We also offer a service to local clubs to aid them with additional coaching. One particular area is the change from mini soccer to 11 a side football where tactics and space awareness become more important.
